Child Therapy
Child Therapy is a form of therapy working individually with a child or young person drawing on my training as an occupational therapist and experience working within mental health.
Sensory Integration
Some children and young people struggle with sensations around them. This can then affect how they interact with the world around them. Sensory difficulties can run alongside other diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties.
Parenting
I offer sessions for parents, guardians, foster parents, grandparents anyone involved with children and teenagers. Sessions can be run on an individual basis or with enough participants I can run a course for up to 8 people.
Schools
I work in schools providing support to students with their emotional and mental health through a variety of counselling techniques including play, active listening and structured activities.
Help with Separation/Divorce
If you are a couple dealing with the difficulties of separation and concerned about your children and how to manage their emotions through this time; I can offer sessions to guide you either as a couple or separately.
Video Call or Face to Face Appointments
I am able to offer a combination of face to face and video call sessions. I can use Skype or Zoom for this and more than two people can be included in the call. Please contact me to discuss this option and arrange an appointment.
About Sarah
I am a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with many years experience working in both physical and mental health. I have experience working in Children's and Adolescent's Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I provide therapy to children using a range of counselling techniques including 'play', active listening and structured activities. I am a qualified sensory integration therapist and am therefore able to assess and provide therapy for sensory processing difficulties.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have DBS clearance to enhanced level.
